Store Selector

The Store Selector is a dialog that lists stores for the purposes of adding to a list. This same dialog is used to add stores to Shopping Lists, as well as adding to a list of Favorite Stores. The logic used to populate the list of stores that show in the Store Selector, and the type of data that is shown depends on which context the dialog was launched in, as discussed in the sections below.

Sorting Orders

Within the dialog, there is the option to sort the stores by the following criteria:

automatic - uses the context-specific ordering depnding on how the dialog was launched (see below);
alphabetical - alphabetical ordering by the website domain name (not necessarily the store name); or
most visited - uses the number of times you have visited pages on the store's web site.

Adding to Shopping Lists

When launched from the Shopping List Viewer, the Store Selector allows adding and removing stores from the shopping list using the checkboxes.

The logic used to populate the Store Selector in this case considers all the stores that sell at least one of the products in the shopping list. The stores are ordered, first by the total number of products in the list that they sell, then secondarily on the lowest price totaled across these products. The count and total price are shown in the 'Products' column.

Single Product-focused Selection

In the Shopping List Viewer you can right-click on the product title to 'see all stores for this product', which will launch the Store Selector, but showing only those stores that sell that particular product.

Adding to Favorite Store Lists

When launching the Store Selector for managing a list of your Favorite Stores from the Sidebar, you get a list of stores that is a combination of:

current favorites for this favorite store list;
favorites for other favorite store lists;
stores you have visited the most;
stores defined in your shopping lists (past and present); and
stores seen the most for products you have interest in.

The ordering roughly matches the order of that list. "Interest" in a product means you have visited a Pronto page for that product, or the product detail page directly if the Shopping Helper recognized it.

Ignoring Stores

The right-most checkbox in the Store Selector dialog allows you to mark a store to be ignored. Ignoring a store means that it will never appear in the Store Selector again and the Shopping Helper will never attempt to to show Automatic Page Banner Notifications for pages from that store's web site.
